I lead a team of product designers, user researchers, and content designers to deliver new experiences and enhancements for a large-scale enterprise application software.

Delivering Results

  • Managed 15 design initiatives to be delivered on time and meet annual business expectations, amidst changing requirements and reorganizations.
  • Negotiated for 4 designers and 2 researchers to be transferred to the team and meet demands.
  • Became hands-on by taking on smaller design tasks to free up the team's capacity for larger initiatives.

Optimizing Operations

  • Implemented a product development process that incorporates the double-diamond design principle, dual-track agile methodology, and fosters an equal partnership mindset.
  • Organized a roadmap prioritization cadence with product triad leads to improve timeline and resource management.
  • Incorporated design QA into the JIRA workflow and created a Figma guide for technology teams to reduce design defects.
  • Established a centralized team knowledge hub to educate members on relevant product and business topics.
  • Encouraged data-driven decisions by collaborating with Analytics to create a UX metrics dashboard.

Team Building

  • Maintain regular team cadences to promote inclusivity and psychological safety, such as weekly huddles, quarterly retrospectives, and team norms workshops.
  • Presented the team during the design organization's weekly showcase to enhance individual recognition and promote team members.
  • Provided personalized career coaching and mentorship for every team member.
  • Organized team-building exercises aimed at skill development and fostering stronger bonds among team members.
